Walt Disney World Resort

Visiting Date:
- 12/31/07 - 01/04/08
- Walt Disney World was just way too much fun. I really want to go back some day when I have enough money. I tried to have the best of my time at each park seeing things that I want to see, doing things that I want to do, and getting on rides that I want to get on. My overall experience there was just incredible.
- Visit the four parks if you can. They are huge. If not, you probably should check out the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center if you have never been to the Disney World resort before.
- There's also Disney Downtown that you can go and tons of Disney gift shops there. There are also stores around and many things to see and do there.
- SeaWorld is also another tourist spot to stop at if you have time. There are animals, of course, and more importantly, Animal Performances.
- There are many things to do around the Walt Disney World Resort. You can go check them out if you have time such as the Universal Studio and other small theme parks. I didn't go to those places so I cannot really come up with any suggestions.
Things To Know:
- First thing first, make sure you get up early in the morning to go to the park, especially when you visit the park during the busy time like holidays. Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center usually are the ones that have long line at the entrance. When I was there, I had to get up like 6 a.m in the morning to catch the bus to go to each park.
- Talking of bus, I strongly recommend, again, strongly recommend you to stay at the Walt Disney World's Hotel Resorts. They are expensive, but trust me, they are very well worth it. We did not know before hand, so we booked a motel that are outside of the Resort. Transportation for me that time was hard because I wanted to see everything and stay for fireworks, etc. very late night. Taking taxi was way too expensive, especially when the traffic is really bad. So if you can afford those hotel resorts, go for them. They are worth the money. The Disney World's transportation run through all the Hotel Resorts, and they are free. Especially, they run until the parks are closed. Some hotels even have airport arrangement.
- Once you enter a paritcular park, grab the park's map and schedule. For information about what rides you want to check out, please read my each park section.
- So now that you have the schedule, then what? Remember, Disney World's parks are huge. You will have to plan very well. The rides are tough ones because the famous rides attract more lines. Here is when the Disney's FASTPASS comes into handy. Check out the schedule and go get your FASTPASS ticket. Then go do something else, and return back to the ride's location that you want to get on.
- If you like parades, make sure you show up where the parades will take place about 1-1:30 hour early. That way, it will allow you to get a good spot at the front line and up close to the parade to take photos, and see everything clear.
- You may ask me now, what kind of park tickets to buy? I didn't buy the tickets from the official Walt Disney World's website. I can't remember where I bought the tickets though. It was somewhere online, but the gist of it is, look around. There are plenty deals out there online. Do your reasearch, and make sure you buy the park-hopper tickets. That way if you are done or bored with one park, you can hop to another park as you wish to.
